Joseph R. Biden, Jr. Railroad Station, Wilmington

From 2009 to 2011, the historic 100+ year-old Wilmington Amtrak Station underwent a $37.7-million renovation that included a retrofit application with the installation of 288 windows. The project also included repair of the brick exterior and decorative terra cotta and tiled roof and restoration of entry doors. The station was renamed the Joseph R. Biden Jr. Railroad Station after the former Vice President, who regularly used the station for decades in his travels between Wilmington and Washington, DC.
