At Graboyes we believe in always doing what’s right, and that includes being good stewards in our community. It is in this spirit that we are proud supporters of the following organizations:
Our owner / president Ellis Guiles serves on the advisory committee of the Philadelphia 2030 District (beginning in 2018), and Graboyes is pleased to serve as a corporate sponsor as well. The 2030 District convenes the owners, managers, and developers of the city’s largest properties in a voluntary, private-sector led effort to achieve deep reductions in energy use, water use, and transportation emissions. If you have questions about Philadelphia’s 2030 District, please contact Katie Bartolotta, Policy and Program Manager, at [email protected]
Our partnership-level support for the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia reflects our great appreciation for its important advocacy work. The alliance promotes the appreciation, protection, appropriate use, and development of our region’s historic buildings, communities, and landscapes — a built environment that is recognized as a national treasure and a source of so many of the historic renovation projects we are privileged to be a part of.
Whenever we have extra building materials or tools, we are happy to donate them to Habitat’s ReStore. Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia is an independently chartered affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI), the largest nonprofit homebuilder worldwide. Locally, its mission is to transform lives and our city by building and repairing homes in partnership with families in need, and uniting all Philadelphians around the cause of affordable housing.
Especially dear to our hearts is All 4 Paws Rescue, a foster-based, no-kill animal rescue based in Chester Springs, Pa. Our owners’ beloved terrier Adele was rescued through this organization and loves to report to work at the Graboyes’ office, where her chief responsibility is to nap with one eye open so she can effectively guard the door.
All 4 Paws Rescue is made up of volunteers and foster homes that care for and socialize its animals, most of which have been rescued from death row at high-kill shelters and auctions and given a second chance at life. Its goal is to offer each and every one of these animals a safe, permanent, and loving home.
