Graboyes Commercial Window and Glass Solutions adds Mitrex building-integrated solar façade systems to its array of offerings

Mitrex cladding system options

Graboyes Commercial Window and Glass Solutions is pleased to announce that it has begun offering Mitrex building-integrated solar façade systems (BISF), including pre-panelized and unitized solar cladding panel systems, solar rainscreen systems, and solar railing, to its commercial construction clients.

Mitrex solar cladding systems seamlessly transform the building envelope

Mitrex solar façade systems, for use with existing and new construction, allow the building envelope to generate from between 5-18 watts per square foot of electricity. The systems are cost-competitive against standard non-active cladding and lightweight for agile handling during construction.

“The ability to combine seamless solar energy generation within a conventional construction material is no longer on our wish lists of the future,” said Ellis Guiles, owner and president of Graboyes. “And Mitrex is a proven leader in the industry that has taken its own long-standing  metal cladding product and successfully integrated solar technology within its layers. As construction professionals, we can finally make awe-inspiring moves toward significantly reducing carbon emissions in buildings,” said Guiles.

Mitrex, a North American manufacturer based in Toronto, is the world’s largest sustainable façade manufacturer and brings 25 years of leadership in the construction industry. For comprehensive information about their products, visit https://www.mitrex.com/solar-facade/.
